About Me
Driven by code, design, and innovation.
I’m Michael Sabino, a senior mobile engineer, product builder, and lifelong problem-solver with over 14 years of experience designing and shipping production software across mobile and web platforms.
My career started with a deep foundation in computer science and software engineering, but over the years it has evolved into something broader: turning ideas into real, usable products. I’ve worked across the full stack — from backend systems and APIs to polished iOS and Android experiences — and I’m most at home where engineering, product thinking, and user experience intersect.
Professionally, I’ve spent more than a decade leading and building mobile solutions in high-impact environments, including large-scale health and fitness platforms, real-time event tracking systems, and enterprise-grade applications used by thousands of users. I’ve led distributed teams, mentored engineers, and owned mobile initiatives end-to-end — from early architecture and hardware integrations (Apple Watch, Android Wear, health sensors) to long-term maintenance and iteration.
Today, my focus has shifted toward independent product development. I build and operate my own apps — from social and event-based platforms to AI-powered productivity tools — handling everything myself: ideation, UX, development, monetization, deployment, and growth. Projects like TropaGo, CareerComposer, and Threaded reflect how I think about software: practical, user-driven, and designed to solve real problems without unnecessary complexity.
I’m particularly interested in:
- Mobile-first product design
- AI-assisted tools that genuinely save people time
- Subscription and monetization strategy
- Clean architecture that scales without over-engineering
Whether I’m building for an organization or shipping my own ideas, I care deeply about clarity, maintainability, and the human side of technology. I believe great software isn’t just technically correct — it feels intuitive, respectful of the user’s time, and quietly dependable.
When I’m not building, I’m usually refining ideas, experimenting with new workflows, or thinking about how small, well-designed products can create meaningful impact.
